How can BioRegistra be reached?


If you have further enquiries or will like to know more about BioRegistra you can chat with our Live support on the site or the portal when signed into your account. What Security Features does BioRegistra Have?

Some of the world’s best industry security standards have been adhered to, to ensure the platform is safe and secured. Some of these features include:

User and data account privacy

BioRegistra is a cloud service platform, however, we take maximum caution to ensure your data is only accessible by you or your other users that you have granted the privilege to. You can also assign different roles with different privileges as you desire.

Audit Trail for activity monitoring

With our audit trail reports, you can track the activity of your agents and other users on your project. This helps you monitor and track in cases where you need to do any form of auditing on your account. You can then export this report in multiple formats to be used outside the system. Also, BioRegistra possesses integrated real-time client analytics which probes, stores, and monitors all key activities done on a device.

Secured Connection

Connections between BioRegistra components and devices are secure. The connection between nodes and components on BioRegistra is via HTTPS. Maximum security is ensured at all various data states; Data-in-transit, Data-at-rest, and Data-in-use

Obfuscation of Application

BioRegistra application is obfuscated (rendered obscure, unclear, or unintelligible) so it is not possible to reverse-engineer it and use it for malicious activities.

Verification of Application Signature at Runtime

BioRegistra client application signature is verified each time the application is launched on a client device. With this feature, only connections from valid BioRegistra Clients are allowed

Quarantining of non-compliant captures

Quarantining of non-compliant records is a check put in place to block (quarantine) registrations suspected to be fraudulent. This check minimizes fraudulent infractions by rogue users.

Prevention of injection of records

Injection of records to the secure servers is prevented since synchronization requests coming to the secure servers are verified before they are accepted (rejected records are saved in a separate folder on the server and are not processed). Some of the verifications done are user login details, capture device details etc. With this security feature in place, processing of fraudulent records is non-existent.


As a service platform, BioRegistra operates on a pay-as-you-use model. This means you only get to pay for the features you use, and how much of each you use. There are two types of activities that users pay for; pre-paid activities (paid for using the BioRegistra wallet), and annual activities (paid for outside the system).

These activities include:

  • Data capture (including the textual, fingerprint and picture capture features)
  • Re-enrollment (only charged if the new capture contains a new feature that was not captured for the record)
  • Identification
  • Verification
  • De-duplication
  • XML Generation

Annual payments made outside the system include:

  • Data management/Portal access/API integration fee.
  • Local hosting fee
  • VPN connection fee
  • Other custom requests


If the capture app has refused to install on your device, please confirm that your device meets the minimum specifications and requirements defined.

If your system meets the specifications, ensure that your device is connected to the internet and your system time is set correctly. This is required as the system attempts to tag the device silently on first app launch after installation.

On an Android device, these checks should solve the issue, if it persists, please contact our support team to check out the issue for you.

On a Windows desktop, this issue might be because of a missing Microsoft Visual C++ 2002 Redistributable package. This is supposed to be an off-the-shelf package from Windows but on most laptops, we have found this package missing, thereby making the installation fail.

After installing the package, re-try installing BioRegistra, be sure that you are installing this application as an Admin as this will need to create some files on the system that can only be created as an Admin.

Any form of data (humans, animals, objects, etc.) can be captured on BioRegistra. This means any sector or Industry can use the solution can create projects that satisfy the requirements of what needs to be captured.

Supported type of data that can be captured are:

  • Textual (demographics): The solution allows the capture of Alphanumeric data and characters. The nature, length of data can be preconfigured during project creation
  • Fingerprint: You can also specify if your project will require fingerprint captured. If yes, you will have to specify the finger(s) that will be captured on both hand Also, you will need to specify if you require validation for your fingerprint scans. Validation ensures the quality of each fingerprint scan is checked before it can be accepted. A higher validation level ensures a higher level, however, can mean that the agent needs to do multiple captures before he can get an acceptable print.
  • Portrait: You will have to specify if your project will require image(s) to be captur Each picture to be captured will be named and you will have to state if you require validation for them. Like the fingerprint validation, turning this ON means you want the quality of your portraits checked before it is accepted into the system. So, this will ensure that a leg is not captured as portrait.

 


Creating an account on BioRegistra is very easy and straight forward. You can create an individual account or a corporate account. To sign up on the system, you must be connected to the Internet. Visit www.bioregistra.com to get started.

Signing up as an Individual
To sign up as an individual, you will be required to provide the following information: First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email address. You also have to create a Password.

Signing up as a Corporate
You can sign up your Company on the platform. This requires a representative on the platform. The user will be responsible for managing the company’s account on the system. The representative will have to provide the following information: Company Name, First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email address, and a Password.


BioRegistra is a data capture solution that enables users to capture all kinds of data, including textual information, fingerprint, images, or a combination of any of these three. BioRegistra offers you a flexible, easy to use and accessible platform for data capture, storage and quick retrieval.

BioRegistra has two components:

Online Web Portal: The portal is a web-based system that provides clients with the needed tools for project creation, configuration and online data capture. Captured data can also be seen here in form of reports and analytics. Other functionalities like user management, wallet top up, etc. are also available on the portal.

Capture Client: This is the device used for the actual capture of users/objects. The capture agents are the primary users of this component. You can capture on Android mobile devices and Windows desktop.

Data Security

Data at Rest – Encryption of captured data (Using AES) before storage is used to ensure safety and data integrity.

Data in Transit – HTTPS connections between the client and the backend is used to ensure efficient security while data is being transported at the Layer 3 (Transport Layer).

Secure Data encryption and Transportation

We secure your data in all digital states – when it is at rest, when it is in motion and when it is in use. When you capture your data, we store it securely in the Device and when this data is being transported to our cloud system, this also happens securely to ensure your data is not breached or tampered with.


Some users prefer to connect to our system using our set of APIs. To do so you will need to connect using a unique ID assigned to your account, and another unique ID assigned to each of the projects you create. To see what your set of unique IDs are, do the following:

  • Click on the Developer/API menu
  • Your Organization ID is displayed at the right corner of the screen while your project(s) ID(s) are displayed as a list on the left.

You will need an authentication key for each service call type. This is a private key shared with you on commencement of your project.

To get your project ID (pId) and Organisation Id (orgId), do the following:

  • Click on the Developer/API menu when signed in
  • Your Organization ID is displayed at the right corner of the screen while your project(s) ID(s) are displayed as a list on the left.

During sign up, you are expected to provide the following information for an individual – First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email Address and a password. If it is a Corporate account, you are also required to provide a company name.

If you are unable to sign up, ensure you have done the following:

  • You have selected a password that contains only alphanumerics (alphabets and numbers) and is at least 6 characters long
  • You have ticked the Terms and Conditions checkbox
  • You have ticked the “I’m not a robot” Captcha checkbox
  • You are connected to the Internet
  • Your email address is unique
